GTA 5 Helicopter Default Controls to fly
Default controls are –
- F = Press once F button to Enter/Exit the helicopter.
- W = Press & hold W to Takeoff and go up. Press & hold the W button until you reach a particular height.
- S = Press S once to decrease the height of the helicopter slightly, Press & hold S to decrease the height of the helicopter.
- A = Press A to turn the helicopter in the left direction.
- D = Press D to turn the helicopter in the right direction.
- Num 4 = Press Num 4 button to roll/move the helicopter to the right side.
- Num 5 = Press Num 5 to tilt back (move the helicopter backward).
- Num 6 = Press Num 6 to Roll/move to the right side.
- Num 8 = Press Num 8 to move the helicopter forward.
- Press E to activate the magnet/Hook feature of the helicopter which is used for hanging items to the helicopter. After hanging the item to the helicopter, to remove the hanged item Press Once E again. Note: only some helicopter has this type of feature.
- You can also use Mouse to control the helicopter in the game. This means you can take steering control of the helicopter using the mouse. Just Press and hold – Left click on the mouse and then Move the mouse in any direction to move the helicopter in any direction.
- Press right-click on Mouse to Start firing from the helicopter. For pointing guns, Just Press and hold the Left-click on the mouse to navigate. You can also use keyboard, Just Press Numpad keys which you used to move the helicopter forward, backward, right, and left. Note: Only some helicopters are equipped with Firearms.

How to Go inside/get out from the helicopter, Takeoff and Go up
- Get inside the helicopter by pressing the F button and again Press F button to Come out, Press W to Take off, and go up. Press and Hold W to Increase the height of the helicopter continuously.
How to Move forward, left, right, and back or in any direction using mouse. (steering control)
- For steering control of the helicopter, you can also use a mouse. Just Press & Hold left-click on the mouse and then move the mouse in any direction. To Move the helicopter forward in any direction, just press and hold the W button and at the same time, move your mouse in any direction.
How to Move forward, left, right, and back using keyboard. (steering control)
- For steering control without using the mouse, to move the helicopter forward, Just Press – Num Pad 8. To Move the Helicopter with the Same Height in the forward direction just Press the W button and Num Pad 8 at the same time.
- Without using the mouse, to move to the left side Just Press – Num Pad 4 , To Move the Helicopter with the Same Height in the left direction, just Press & hold the W button and Num Pad 4 at the same time.
- Without using the mouse, to move to the right side, Just Press – Num Pad 6 . To Move the Helicopter with the Same Height in the right direction, just Press & hold the W button and Num Pad 6 at the same time.
- Without using the mouse, to move to the back side, don’t Press the W button, just Press Num Pad 5 for moving a little bit backward OR hold Num Pad 5 for a continuous backward.
How to Change the Direction of the helicopter – Left OR Right.
- To change the direction of the helicopter to the right side slightly – Press – D button, To change the direction of the helicopter to the right side continuously – Press and Hold D button.
- To change the direction of the helicopter to the left side slightly – Press – A button, To change the direction of the helicopter to the left side continuously – Press and Hold A button.
How to Decrease the height of helicopter and Land easily.
- First, decrease the height of the helicopter.
- Press the S button once to decrease the height slightly or Press & hold the S button to decrease the height continuously.
- Use W for Going up slightly and Use S to decrease height and also control the steering of the helicopter to land easily.
How to Change Camera View
Press V once or multiple times to change each time.
How to Hang any magnetic thing or any item (for example – car, bike, etc).
Press E button once to activate the hook feature of the helicopter which is used for hanging anything. If you want to remove the hanged item from the helicopter Press E once again. Note: Only some helicopter has this feature.
How to aim for firing from the helicopter
